Great BBQ is hard to come by, so we’ve made a list of all the best BBQ joints that the Inland Empire has to offer!
Bigg Dane & Beale’s Texas BBQ, Fontana
Established in 2015, Bigg Dane and Beale’s Texas BBQ is relatively new. It was started by two neighbors who shared a love for backyard barbecuing. At first, they began competing against each other, but soon after, they started competing nationally with some of the biggest names in the country. After realizing that they truly had something special, they decided to go in together and open a barbecue restaurant in Fontana together… And we’re so glad they did! When you go, make sure to try the ribs, brisket, and hot links. Everything is cut, cooked and served right on site – and done so to perfection. They also have amazing greens, cornbread, mac and cheese, and peach cobbler that you need to try as well!
Badlands BBQ, Norco
Badlands BBQ is one of the best in the Inland Empire, hands down. During the holidays, my husband and I hosted a Friendsgiving dinner and ordered catering. As a result, I got to try almost everything on the menu, and they didn’t disappoint. Everything that I had was amazing. The brisket was cooked perfectly, the ribs were full of flavor, and the sides were to die for. But there was one thing that stood out the most – the hot links! Surprisingly, they were my favorite thing on the menu, and the best links I’ve ever had, so make sure that you order them when you go.
Joey’s Bar-B-Q, Chino
If good barbecue could be judged by the size of their wood pile, then Joey’s is the best. Established in 1978, and opened by Texas natives, Luria Foreman and her partner Ray Moors Joey’s Bar-B-Q has been serving some of the IE’s best bbq for 3 decades. When you go, try the pulled pork sandwich, brisket, ribs, and texas toast. If you’re feeling especially adventurous, try the bbq nachos too! And one of the best perks of Joey’s is that it’s dog-friendly, so the whole family can come along, including your fur babies!
The Corner Butcher Shop, La Verne
The Corner Butcher Shop was inspired by the Fuelling Brothers’ fondness for good food. They grew up in Michigan surrounded by a big family that loved to eat. In honor of their loving childhood, they placed a huge dining table right in the center of their shop – so you and your family can do the same. The Fuelling brothers have taken influence from Dutch butcher shops in Michigan, the finest wines of California, and the best barbecue in the south. When you come, you have to try the pulled pork sandwich off of Darnell’s BBQ Menu. It starts with the freshest meat from their shop, slow roasted in their smokers, and served up with a smile. This is an awesome place to get great BBQ in La Verne – or, if you’re feeling up to it, getting some great slabs to through on the grill yourself.
