The San Antonio Winery just celebrated 100 years, making it one of the oldest and most established wineries in all of Southern California. On Friday, I had the honor of attending their Stella By Starlight event. It was an evening filled with good food, live jazz, and great wine! Located at 2802 S. Milliken Avenue, Ontario, CA 9176, this venue is one of the best wineries in the Inland Empire.
Stepping Inside The San Antonio Winery
When I first walked in, I was instantly taken aback by the array of bottles that they had to offer. It was almost like being in a grocery store – but way more fun. From Pinots to pistachios to prosciutto, this place has it all.
If you’re thinking about buying a glass and enjoying it on the patio under the sun, you should really consider buying a bottle. It’s only slightly more than a glass and it’s even better if you can buy several bottles and share with friends – Which is exactly what we did.
I’ll admit, I’m not very well versed in wines. I wish I was, but I’m not. So I literally just picked up the prettiest bottle of wine in the store. They say that you should never judge a book by its cover, but in this case, the cover was correct.
I chose a Stella Rosa Platinum and it was the best wine I’ve ever tried, hands down. It was sweet, with a hint of vanilla that was a pleasant surprise right at the end. If you ever come to the San Antonio Winery, then you need to try it.
My friends and I went for the Stella by Starlight, but they have lots of other events as well. They’ve done wine and cheese pairings, Valentine’s day events, farm to table breakfasts, prohibition parties, and more. They also have events where they showcase different wines from Tuscany, Argentina, Bordeaux, and Pasa Robles – Where their third venue is located. But there’s one event that caught my eye, called K-9 & Wine. You can bring your fur babies and eat great food under the sun.
All In All…
This is a great place to go on a Friday night with friends, colleagues, or significant others. Everyone who came was there for the same reasons – To relax and listen to great music with their favorite glass of wine. It was such an awesome way to kick off the weekend!
