Here are a few of our favorite fun things to do in the Inland Empire with kids!
Skydiving isn’t just for adults. As long as they’re up for it, kids 3 and up can have a blast skydiving indoors. There are two places in the Inland Empire where your little humans can learn to fly: iFly Indoor Skydiving Ontario and Skydive Perris.
There are several trampoline parks in the Inland Empire, but there’s only one that we recommend: Hangar Trampoline Parks in Riverside. It’s clean, it’s big, and it’s a really fun time for all ages.
Alpine Slide in Big Bear is a great time for Inland Empire kids all year round. During the winter, you can bobsled and intertube down the mountain. And in the summer, they have a long concrete slide that shoots you down at top speeds (or not… if you’re scared.) The chairlift to the top also commands stunning mountain views and serene natural beauty.
The Inland Empire trails are some of the best in all of Southern California. And kids love to hike! But not every hike is kid friendly. The most popular trail for kids would be the Woodlands Nature Trail in Big Bear. It’s easy, scenic, and there are lots of opportunities to teach them about nature along the way!
Indoor Playgrounds & Bounce Houses
For a kid, there’s nothing better than playing running, jumping, and yelling as loud as you want. For a parent, there’s nothing better than a good nights rest afterward. There are lots of indoor playgrounds in the Inland Empire for kids to bounce, hop, and hang on. Here are the ones that we recommend: LOL Kids Club in Rancho Cucamonga, House of Play in Rancho Cucamonga, Toddler Town Indoor Playground in Rancho Cucamonga, Pump It Up in Rancho Cucamonga and Chino Hills, Romp-O-Rama in Corona, iPlayology in Corona, Hippity Hop in Norco, Party Kingdom in Chino, Jump ‘N Jammin in Moreno Valley.
Go Kart Racing
The Inland Empire is a mecca for speedways, so it makes perfect sense that Go Karting for kids would also be big here. There are so many places to take your little drivers and here are my top picks! Fiesta Village in Colton, K1 Speed in Ontario, Pole Position Raceway in Corona, Cal Speed Karting Center in Fontana.
During the summers, the IE is hot! So it’s no wonder why there are so many water parks in the Inland Empire. Here are our favs: Raging Waters in San Dimas, Splash Kingdom in Redlands, Drop Zone Water Park in Perris, Fiesta Village in Colton, and Martin Tudor Splash Park in Fontana is great for Toddlers.
Petting Zoos & Farms
Most of the farms that used to sprawl Southern California are long gone now. But there are still a few that remain. These are great places to get fresh eggs, milk, meat, and cheese. But a few of them also have fun activities for the kids as well. Our favorite is Amy’s Farm in Ontario which features an area where kids can come and pet the animals. Tom’s Farm in Corona has a large market and small petting zoo for kids. And finally, if you’re looking for a few unconventional animals to pet, Mr. Joe’s Farm in Riverside has camels, llamas, and alpacas!
Arts & Crafts
Some kids like to play quietly inside. And for those kids, arts and crafts are the way to go! The Purple Easel in Ontario is actually known for its wine and paint parties. But they also feature classes for children of all ages during certain days of the week. KidsArt in Chino Hills and KidsArt Rancho Cucamonga are designed for the more serious or advanced artists in your family. And finally, the Sawdust Factory in Upland is a place where kids can make and paint crafts made of wood!
