I was working on another blog post for you guys today… when out of nowhere, I heard loud crashes of thunder and rain. It was nice at first, but then I remembered that we were in the middle of summer!
So Why Is It Raining (And Hailing) In August?
…Well, I did a little research. Turns out the Inland Empire is currently in a monsoonal moisture zone. This is why, despite scorching summer temperatures, it has been humid all day and expected to rain all night. In fact, you can expect heavy rain, thunderstorms, wind, flooding, and yes, even hail.
Stay Safe, IE…
According to the National Weather Service, Riverside County is under severe thunderstorm warning until at least 6:45 pm tonight. Some people are experiencing power outages and mudslides. And due to the excess humidity today, the air quality is less than stellar.
Crazy, Right?
